Books and manuscripts find their way to us through many different routes. Early on a friend of Paul Dry Books recommended Farewell to Salonica. Originally published in 1946 it had been out of print for years until we brought it back in 2003. Over the next several years--through friends, customers, and even book reviewers--we learned about The Flight of Ikaros, set in the Peloponnese, and Ill Met by Moonlight, Hide and Seek, and The Stronghold, all set in Crete. Next month we will publish A War of Shadows, a sequel to Ill Met by Moonlight. Quite accidentally we've found ourselves with a small library of books set in Greece.
